Every year, on June 30 and December 31, interest is credited. Interest rates and application methods are subject to change from time to time.
• All Savings Bank Accounts come with a passbook. On request, passbooks are updated quickly across the counter. On request, cheque books are provided. Each year, 25 free cheque leaves are distributed.
• Depending on the clearing standards at the center, local checks for collection will be credited to the account within a maximum of 3/4 days.
• For accounts that are satisfactorily conducted, immediate credit will be offered for outstation collections up to Rs 20000/-.
The bank will pay interest if outstation checks given for credit to account are not collected within 7/10/14 days, depending on the collection center.
• If a check is returned unpaid, there will be a service charge.
• The amount in the withdrawal slip must be in full rupees, with a minimum of Rs.10/-.
It is not possible to make payments to other parties using a withdrawal slip.
• In SB A/cs, Standing Instructions (S.I.) are acceptable.
