The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, and the relevant State/UT administrations are working together to organise this initiative.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti is the nodal ministry for the SIP initiative.
